End of Sale is the last day the Catalyst 2960-S could be ordered from Cisco. End of Software Maintenance is the last day it received bug-fix releases. What replaces the Catalyst 2960-S?
Cisco originally positioned the Catalyst 2960-X as the direct replacement, but the 2960-X is now end of life too, so the current successor is the Cisco Catalyst 9200 or 9200L Series.
